About Us
Nestled on the slopes of the Ideremle Mountain, Ruaha Hilltop Lodge has breathtaking panoramic views overlooking vast savannah plains. The lodge is a mere 15 km from the gate of Ruaha National Park which has some of Tanzania’s richest concentrations of animal, bird and plant life.
We are committed to offering exceptional service at an affordable price for all of our guests to experience a truly Tanzanian safari.
Our Story
A proudly Tanzanian, family-owned and managed lodge
Ruaha Hilltop Lodge was built in 2003 by Alban Lutambi, a former road-building contractor from Iringa. The Hilltop has since become one of the most sought-after lodges in Ruaha through Alban's passion for Tanzanian hospitality and vision for the country's travel industry.
Together with his two sons - Emmanuel and Donald Lutambi - Alban developed a long-term plan for the Utulivu Group to benefit future generations of travellers, the Lutambi family legacy and the local community.
